Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Refill Pharmacy Technician to join a high-volume pharmacy team in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a fast-paced refill or retail pharmacy environment and be comfortable handling large prescription volumes while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service.
Candidates with active CPHT/PTCB certification are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Process prescription refill requests accurately and efficiently
- Enter prescription information into pharmacy systems
- Handle high-volume inbound and outbound pharmacy workflow
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and refill coordination
- Verify patient information and insurance details
- Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Support inventory management and medication stock processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy department
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
CPHT Required - Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy setting
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- Active CPHT/PTCB Certification preferred
- Retail, mail-order, or refill pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with pharmacy software systems and insurance processing
