Unit Information: Respiratory Therapy Location: LewisGale Medical Center Address: 1900 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153 Floor: 2 Building: Main General Information Tell us about the unit(s):

Number of Beds – 500
Number of Staff – 30
Type of staff:
- Day Shift – 6 therapist – including charge person
- Night Shift – 5 therapist – including charge person
Patient Ratios –
Type of equipment – EPOC Blood Gases, PB 840, Newport, ReVel, LTV, V60
EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Basic floor therapies – Neb. Treatment, CPT, Nocturnal Pulse Oxi, Obtain ABG's
Bipap Management

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Vent and Bipap Management
ICU experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

HHN, CPT, Bipap and Vent management, Extubation,

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Floating Areas:

CICU, SICU, MICU, step down units

Dress Code:

Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue

Weekends and On call(if any)

3, 12 hr shift. 7p – 7a rotating weekend
