SSMH Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech - must be well-rounded, experience with general, breast and vascular.
Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p with occasional On Call and float to GGH as needed required.
Minimum 3-years' experience w/ varied technology.

Full-Time Days (8:00a-4:30p) with occasional On Call and willingness to float to Geneva occasionally required.

Complete Description:
Position: Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech)
Hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital (with potential float to Geneva General Hospital)

Education Requirements - Minimum: Completion of training at an approved school in Ultrasound. Preferred: Registered specialist (ultrasound one-year additional training at AMA approved schools in ultrasound)

Certifications - Minimum: BLS certification (through AHA). Preferred: ARDMS

Experience: Minimum: Three (3) years of varied ultrasound technology experience, with general experience as well as breast and vascular. Preferred: Previous travel sonographer/ultrasound tech experience

Essential Job Functions: Accurately conveys patient and exam information to the Radiologist and ordering physician in an attempt to provide the most efficient and best quality care. Appropriately maintain and update patient data in all forms (film, paper, etc.) in an organized, efficient and confidential manner. Convey a professional and courteous manner, keeping patient and family informed and educated, while providing high-quality care. Accommodate the scheduling demands of the ordering physicians and patients in a timely manner. Performs all technical elements of the position with minimal supervision after orientation with minimal technical error.
