- 85% spine, 15% brain

- Number of Beds : 17. Includes CVOR and Transplant. Not a leveled trauma centerPatient Ratios :OR nursing 1/1
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1-2 Surgical Techs per case
- Type of equipment : Robots: Davinci XI, Globus and Mako, Microscopes, and other usual OR Equipment
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements:
- Floating policy: As needed
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH REQUIRED
- OR Experience in a hospital setting
- Neurosurgery experience
- 2 Years of Hosp/Specialty experience
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
- Robotic experience
- Meditech Experience preferred
Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)
- Active TX RN License ONLY- temp License will not be accepted
Procedures performed on unit:
- Perform high volume of General, Neuro surgery including Crani, Ortho, Robotic, some Urology and plastic.
- Heart and Transplants as well
Patient Experience Required:
- Must be friendly and compassionate with our patients
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
- Scrub Color
- RN: Facility will provide scrubs
- Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy. No gel nails or artificial nails. ¼” beyond finger tips
- Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extrem styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not fessible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
- Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
