Number of Beds – 55 beds, 176 chairs
Number of Staff – 86 core staff
Type of staff:
Day Shift: 0700-1730 (4, 10-hour shifts) or 0700-1900 (3, 12 hours shifts)
Night Shift: N/A
Weekends/Holidays: Subject to working weekends and/or holidays if staffing needs arise.
Patient Ratios – Variable upon patient acuities and patient volumes
Type of Equipment – Baxter infusions pumps
EMR – Meditech and OncoEMR
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs only)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital BMT Oncology RN experience
BLS & ACLS
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Certification
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Chemo/biotherapy certification
Oncology, Hematology, and/or Transplant Cellular Therapy experience
Competent in IV placement skill
Experience in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and Cellular Therapy administration
Experience in blood products, antibiotic, IVIG, and IVF administration
Experience with immunocompromised patients
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Infusions of IVIG, blood products, Albumin/Lasix, electrolyte replacements, antibiotics, IV hydration, chemotherapy (including lymphodepleting chemotherapy), immunotherapy, and cellular administration.
Granix and Mozobil injection administrations for transplant/cellular therapy collections.
Provide oversite for cellular procedures after required training is completed.

Our infusion center team provides critical outpatient infusion care services for our TCT and liver/renal transplant programs at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. Our TCT Program is the 15th largest program in the nation. Our infusion nurses play a critical role in supporting our apheresis program and provide oversight to our stem cell collection procedures. We also provide support for outpatient CAR T infusions. We are committed to providing excellent care to these very vulnerable patients.
