o Milwaukee, WI
o Level IV Trauma Center
o Level III NICU
o Advance Comprehensive Stroke Center
o Teaching hospital
o Beds: 228
o Covid vaccine required
● General Information
o Beds: 3 general rooms, 1 vascular room, 1 ED room
o Experience? 1 year
o First-time traveler? Yes, if candidate has trauma experience
● Patient Types:
o General, vascular, OB
o Neonatal heads and abdomen, liver duplex. Large number of pelvic and vascular studies
● Average daily case load:
o 6-14 patients per tech
● Required Certifications:
o BLS, ARMDS-OB, RVT, and ABD
● Skills required
o Experience with general vascular and OB
● Support on the Unit:
o Other sonographers
o RT 24/7
o Radiologist not on site reading 24/7
o Lead Sonographer
o Rapid Response/Code Team
o Manager/Supervisor available during weekdays
● Charting System/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Med Dispensing: Pyxis
o PACS: Change Healthcare
o Unit equipment: Logic E9, Logic E10, Parksflow, Client Scanners
● Floating:
o Bedside portable U/S throughout the hospital
● Orientation:
o NEO
o 2-3 shifts in the department
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: based on needs and schedule for requisition
o Can we approve time off?
o Will they be on call? No
o Holiday Expectations: if it falls on regular scheduled day, will work it
o Schedule Cycle: will be on mostly set schedule
● Other notes or things you want us to check/verify?
o Scrub Color: Any color, no denim/camo, professional
