Unit Information: L&D Location: Richmond, Virginia Address: 1602 Skipworth Road, Richmond, VA Floor: 2nd Building: The Women's Hospital General Information Tell us about the unit(s):

Number of Beds – 16 LDR, 3 OR, 3 Triage 3 RR
Number of Staff – 70
Type of staff:
- Day Shift – 1 charge, 12 RN, 2-3 Surgical Techs
- Night Shift – 1 charge, 6-7 RN, 1 Surgical tech
Patient Ratios – AWHONN ratios are the goal. Could be 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 (low acuity)
Type of equipment – Novii monitors, iMobile, headsets, pass-through skin-to-skin C-section drape, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, aroma therapy
EMR – CPN and Meditech

Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Current (within previous 2 years) Intermediate Fetal heart Monitoring
L&D experience
Current NRP and BLS required

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Experience at facilities with >3000 births per year
Patient preferences are central

Labor, deliver, recover, triage, Antepartum, circulate for C-section
1 st hour baby care (excludes admission assessment, eyes and thighs)
Breastfeeding assistance
