Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: Plainsboro, NJ
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13-Week Travel Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Plainsboro, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience and be committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Assist physicians during labor, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License (required at the time of submission)
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
