Schedule: Evenings | 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 5x8 | 40 Hours/Week
On-Call/Weekend Requirements: Weekends, on-call, and holidays required

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with Operating Room experience to assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures. The Surgical Tech will maintain a sterile environment, prepare surgical instruments and equipment, and provide technical scrub support while ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment throughout procedures.
• Perform scrub duties and assist surgeons during surgery.
• Prepare, organize, and pass surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Verify that surgical equipment is functioning safely and properly.
• Assist with patient preparation before surgery.
• Function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Perform departmental duties as assigned.
• Precept and assist in training new staff when needed.
• Respond to on-call requirements and arrive within 30 minutes when called in.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Completion of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program
• BLS Certification required
• Travel experience required
• Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience required
• Scrubbing experience required
• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required
• Knowledge of operating room sterilization, cleaning, and disinfection procedures
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation
• Must comply with the 100-mile radius rule (local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted)
