Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location:
1521 Hickory Flat Highway, Suite 100
Canton, GA 30115
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience within the specialty.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
- Required:
- Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Hazardous drug and chemotherapy compounding experience (required)
- Preferred:
- Oncology pharmacy experience
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician medication orders.
- Prepare and compound hazardous medications and chemotherapy in accordance with USP standards and facility policies.
- Perform pharmaceutical handling, packaging, labeling, and medication distribution.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with medication safety and quality standards.
- Manage inventory, including medication stocking, expiration monitoring, and replenishment.
- Support pharmacy operations in multiple functional areas, including:
- Oncology
- Sterile and hazardous compounding
- Production and distribution
- Inventory management
- Controlled substances
- Surgery
- Home care/outpatient services
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure safe and timely medication delivery.
- Provide pharmacy support for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

- Department: 423A GCS Canton – Pharmacy
- High-volume outpatient clinic specializing in oncology services.
- Candidates must have experience with hazardous drug handling and chemotherapy compounding.
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Monday through Friday day shift in a high-volume outpatient oncology pharmacy
