Job Title: RN- PCU/Stepdown
Job Location:1 Wyoming St, Dayton, OH 45409
Job duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, 48 hrs gtd.
Job requirements:
- 1.5 year(s) of PCU exprience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- EPIC required
- must have vent exp
- IV Start preferred
- Travel experience preferred
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing
- EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.

Interdisciplinary Support- IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
Patient Diagnoses-Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit provides professional skilled care to a diverse population of patients, which includes but is not limited to cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, brain tumors, complex spinal surgeries, neuro disease processes.

Respiratory: heated high flow, bipaps and trach/vents
*Their application MUST show some 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU, otherwise, the managers will not review it. Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting in order to avoid delay. Also note, ICU exp does not count towards SD/PCU exp at this facility, therefore, you MUST have SD/PCU experience to be considered.*
Floating and Other Requirements:
- Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID.
- If assigned to MVH, this could include floating the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus, and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
- Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
*Requested Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 14 days allowed per contract. No schedule requests or RTO will be negotiated after an offer is made.*
*Local Radius & Local Traveler Rules (Nursing): Local radius is 50 miles. Local travelers are not accepted.*
Floating – Candidates may float within hospital or to another Premier hospital nearby – please refer to the job description for floating details. It is common for travelers to float to other units based on their skill sets and based on census. Candidate must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests.
