***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

  • Documentation system: Meditech / Medication scanning, Controlled substance policy

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

Must have : (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

  • 2 Years HOSP/SPECIALTY EXPERIENCE
  • BLS REQUIRED
  • ACLS REQUIRED
  • NIH stroke certification
  • BSN preferred

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

  • Active TX RN License – TEMP LICENSE IS NO LONGER PERMITTED

Procedures performed on unit:

  • CABG, General Surgery
  • IABP, IMPELLA, CRRT, Therapeutic Hypothermia, Rotoprone
  • Ventilation

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

  • Scrub Color

o RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket

  • Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
  • Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
  • Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
