Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Cardiology | Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy Cardiology practice in Berwyn, PA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates who are interested in transitioning to a permanent position. The ideal candidate is able to work independently with minimal training, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during patient visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Perform clinical and administrative duties to support daily practice operations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EPIC experience preferred).
• Assist with patient scheduling, follow-up, and care coordination.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and ready for patient care.
• Support the practice in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
• Previous experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting.
• Cardiology experience is a plus.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute immediately.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Berwyn, PA within approximately 30 minutes.

Schedule

• Work hours vary between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Tuesdays include extended hours until 8:00 PM.
• Candidates must be flexible, as shifts may extend until the physician has completed all scheduled patient visits.
• Weekly schedules are provided one week in advance.

Training

• Virtual 4-hour EMR training provided on Fridays.
