- Number of Beds – 6
- Number of Staff – 15
- Type of staff:
- o Day Shift – core staffing of 2 NICU RNs and 1 NNP on site 24/7. Neonatologists on call 24/7
o Night Shift – Core staffing of 2 NICU RNs and 1 NNP on site 24/7. Neonatologist on call 24/7 - Patient Ratios – 3:1 for feeder growers. Vented babies 1:1
- Types of equipment – Giraffe Omnibeds, STAR Client resuscitation for transport, Giraffe with Shuttle transport,
- EMR – CPN and Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum 1-year of current NICU RN acute care experience
- BLS and NRP
- Level 2 NICU experience
- Infant resuscitation experience is a requirement of our facility
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Level 3 and or level 4 experience
- Experience with Eat Sleep Console for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
- Admissions and initial stabilization experience in the delivery room
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Assisting NNP with umbilical line placement, intubation assist, LP assist, circumcision.
- No surgical procedures
