Description

Title: Cardiac Invasive Technical Operations Manager (EP)

Location: Charlotte NC 28203

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40 Shift Information: Mon - Fri Clinical Interviewing- No On Call, Call Back Requirements: Will occasionally round on the weekend staff Weekend Rotation: Will occasionally round on the weekend staff Holiday Requirements: No Floating Requirements: None

  • Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Unit Information: Beds: 4 EP Labs (M/T/TH/F), 3 EP labs (W).

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of experience in high acuity EP lab PLUS at least 1 year of assistant manager, manager, or director experience, preferably in EP Lab but will accept management experience in other departments

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  • EP Cases: Adults only. Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency Ablations, and Cryoablations), and Concomitant Watchmen Atrial Fibrillation
  • Implantable Devices: Device and Laser Lead Extractions, Cryoablations, Cardioversions, and Loop Implants. Pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, biventricular device implantations (BIV-Pacemakers and BIV-Defibrillators), leadless devices (Micra and Aveir Devices)
Required License, National Certification, Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, etc.):
  • RN: BLS, ACLS
  • EP Tech: BLS, ACLS; ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS is required, RCES (preferred)
Skills required:
  • Knowledge and experience with above cases, procedural work flows, manage complex schedule, manage different personality types, FLEXIBILITY IS VERY IMPORTANT, assisting with cases if needed (90% admin, 10% in the lab to help cover), recruiting/retention strategies, supporting education, vendor partnerships (present almost every day), open and thorough communication with staff, coach and mentor supervisors, data reporting/tracking/interpretation, maintaining teammate files and competencies
  • Comfortable fostering and maintaining physician relationships. Having good communication with them. Medical Director likes to be "in the know.”

  • 2 Supervisors for the department that will report

Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Hemodynamic: Cardio Lab
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Med Dispensing: Omnicell
  • Monitors: Philips
  • PACS: Philips
  • X-ray equipment: Philips, Client, Siems
  • Manifolds, long sheaths, exchange wires
Floating: If yes, where: None

Orientation (facility and unit): At least 2 weeks of orientation. Will be orienting with Director

Scheduling:
  • Weekend Call Rotation: will occasionally round on the weekend staff
  • Holiday Expectations: No
  • RTO: Manager Approval
  • Shift times: Varies depending on daily workflow. Will occasionally stay late (once per week) to ensure late staff are operating ok. Need to come in at least by 0830
  • Schedule cycle: Monday – Friday
