Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds – 18
• Number of Staff – 6 nurses, 2 aide per shift
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 5 nurses, 2 aide per shift
  • Night Shift – 5 nurses, 2 aide per shift
• Patient Ratios – typically 4 patients to 1 nurse. May see 5 patients to 1 nurse
• Type of equipment – telemetry monitor, Doppler, cardiac monitors, a-lines, TR bands, sheaths
• EMR – Meditech Expanse

Hiring Profile

Must have:

• Telemetry monitoring
• ACLS, BLS
• Cardiac nurse experience

Preferred or nice to have:

• PCCN
• Pre and post nursing care for vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, cath lab

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Cardiac cath lab interventions, vascular surgery, 1 or 2 day post-op open heart
• STEMI, stroke
