Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Address: 2316 East Meyer Blvd

Unit Name: 6 East Ortho/Trauma

Shift Type: Day Shift
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 AM End Time: 07:00PM

Duration:13 weeks

General Information

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 23

· Patient Ratios : 1:4, 1:5

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit Secretary and PCTs

· Type of equipment : traction, fixators, cooling equipment

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: 3 12s, 3 weekend shifts per schedule period

· Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. Would float to the other MedSurg level of care units (General MS, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)

· Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

Must have : RN license, BLS

Advanced skills needed: Ortho experience , Tele, NIH

Procedures performed on unit: Post op knee, hip and shoulder replacements, Trauma patients, some Neuro overflow – NIH is helpful

Certifications Required:

Dress Code : (Required uniform)

· Navy scrubs
