Position Details

Specialty: Travel RN/LVN – Medical/Renal
Unit: Medical/Renal – 6th Floor, Unit 617
Location: San Antonio, TX
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
EMR: Meditech
Scrub Color: Navy

Required Qualifications

BLS certification required
Candidates should have strong medical-surgical nursing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
Previous Meditech experience

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

The unit commonly performs and manages:

IV starts and IV therapy
Wound care
Comprehensive patient assessments
Implementation of nursing interventions
Drainage device management
Central line management
Blood product administration
Patient safety and quality-care practices

Unit Expectations

RN/LVN should be familiar with National Patient Safety Goals
Unit-specific guidelines and policies will be reviewed during orientation.

Dress Code

Navy scrubs required
Closed-toe shoes required
Tattoos must be appropriately covered
Professional clinical attire is expected.
