o  Day Shift – 1 Charge RN, 6 RN's, 1 Unit Secretary, 2-3 Techs

o  Night Shift – 1 Charge RN, 6 RN's, 1 tech

·  Patient Ratios – 4:1

·  Type of equipment – EKG Machine, Hoyer Lift, LifePak

·  EMR – Meditech

Skill Set Most recruited for:

 

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·  Telemetry Experience and Reading EKG's

·  Ability to handle a fast paced unit with several admissions, discharges, transfers, procedures, etc.

 

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·  Sets priorities and modifies patient care in response to changing conditions by utilizing problem solving skills and exhibiting good judgment.

·  Makes appropriate and timely notification to physicians on patient condition changes

·  PD

·  EKG's

·  Most cardiac procedures are done in the Cath Lab – not on the unit

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

·  BLS & ACLS

·  Med Surg- low probability of floating

Dress Code :

·  Scrub Color/Attire - navy

 

Weekends and On call:

·  Every 3 rd  Friday and Sat 7p-7a plus and additional Friday or Sat (7p-7a) each schedule. Will need help with Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night.
