Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28207

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40 Shift Information: 0800-1700 Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager to conduct final interview. On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: None Holiday Requirements: None Floating Requirements: None
About Facility:
  • Outpatient OBGYN Clinic
  • 1350 S. Kings Drive, 2nd Floor, Charlotte, NC 28207
  • Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Unit Information:
  • 3 Ultrasound Rooms
  • Will see approximately 13 patients per day per US Tech

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year US Tech

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes


Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  • Low risk OB/GYN
  • New Pregnancy/Dating scans, Routine 20-week anatomy scans, Obesity in pregnancy, GYN scans
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
  • ARDMS – OB certification required
  • NC State Licensure is not required
  • BLS
Skills required:
  • Experience with the above patient population
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to obtain nuchal translucency in 1st trimester scans
  • 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, SVC-IVC, 3 vessel view (3VV)
Support within the Department:
  • Departmental leadership
  • Nurses on site
  • Peer Sonographers
  • Receptionist
  • MA
  • Provider/NP support
  • There is not a Radiologist on-site at our clinics. MFM doctors on site at all clinics, except on Thursday mornings. On Thursday mornings APPs (Advanced Practice Providers) that will see mostly follow-up cases.
Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC, ASOBGYN
  • Unit specific equipment: Client Ultrasound machines, Trophon
Floating:
  • Traveler could float to NorthPark OBGYN, as needed
  • 6 miles away, approximately 20 min - depending on traffic
Orientation (facility and unit):
  • 1 week of Orientation, dependent on experience and skillset
Scheduling:
  • RTO: Supervisor approval
  • Shift times: Monday-Friday, 0800-1700
Other notes:
  • Scrub Color: Grey
  • Parking: Free
