Position Overview

Penn Primary Care Plumsteadville is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a temp-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of CMA experience and be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine staff position.

EPIC experience is strongly preferred.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• One late shift per week: 11:45 AM–8:15 PM
• Other shifts: 7:45 AM–4:15 PM or 8:00 AM–4:45 PM
• Schedules are available approximately 2 weeks in advance

Key Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for provider visits
• Obtain and document patient information
• Handle patient phone calls
• Schedule and book appointments
• Assist with day-to-day clinical and administrative duties
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• 18 months of CMA experience – REQUIRED
  
• Current CMA certification Required
  BLS from AHA Required
• Strong patient-care and communication skills
• Ability to work Monday–Friday and one late shift weekly
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine position

Training

• 5-hour EPIC training during onboarding
• Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, including a break
• Additional 15-minute HIPAA training module

Interview

• Microsoft Teams interview
