Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Department: 660C Surgery – RN OR
Location: Canton, GA 30115
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Shift: 3×12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week
On-Call: Required
Local Candidates: No local candidates within 50 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and surgical procedures

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases

• Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique

• Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies

• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards

• Participate in required on-call coverage

Holiday Requirement

Must work 2 major holidays from:

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day

• New Year's Day

And 1 minor holiday:

• Friday after Thanksgiving

• Christmas Eve

• New Year's Eve
