About Facility:

• Multispecialty clinic with several clinic insider. Will primarily support the orthopedic clinic

Unit Information:

• Beds: 2 X-ray rooms
• Census: Average patients/day: 50-70

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2, would prefer mix of acute and outpatient experience, but acute not a firm requirement

Will you accept a first-time traveler: No

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Peds-geriatric. Some patients not mobile so may need assistance with positioning
• General x-ray – extremities, chest, head, a lot of orthopedic patients, spine
• No portables, no fluoro, no OR

Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ARRT, Illinois IEMA license

Skills required:

• Experience with above patient types
• Must be comfortable with orthopedic patients and degrees of mobility. Some will not be weight bearing
• Soft skills: Must be comfortable working independently and be self-directed

Support within the Department:

• 1 other rad tech
• PSR (Patient Service Reps_
• Management not on site every day, always available via phone
• Site manager
• MA from ortho clinic will transfer patients down, Rad Techs transfer back if needed
• Panic buttons in room if emergency.
• No code team so will call 911 if emergency

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC - preferred
• PACS: Client Centricity
• Department equipment: Client overhead X-ray, DelMedical floor mounted unit

Floating: If yes, where:

• Could float AMG Lincolnshire Orthopedic Clinic (4 miles South of Libertyville)
• Would float as needed. Would be notified at least 1 day before.

Orientation (facility and unit) :

• NEO
• Remainder of first week will be orienting

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: As needed- can discuss further with manager
• On call: No
• Holiday Expectations: None
• Approval of RTO: to go through manager
• Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0800-1700
• If needing to call out sick, must call out a minimum of 2 hours before shift begins

• Scrub Color: Any color, professional. No logos
• Parking: Free
