General Information

· Number of Beds - 350

· Number of Staff – 4 Full Time RDs in department, including CNM (2 open Full-Time positions)

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – need for 1 Clinical Dietitian

o Night Shift - n/a

· Patient Ratios – average patient workload 10-15/day

· Type of equipment – iPhones for communication with team

· EMR – Meditech

· Permanent Positions on Unit Available? (Y/N) – Y

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Critical care

· Adults, geriatrics

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· NICU experience (to help support NICU RD, when out on PTO)

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

· Nutrition-focused physical exams

Best personality Fit:

· Collaborative with other healthcare disciplines (MD, RN, SLP, Diabetes Educators, Case Managers etc.)

· Flexibility in ability to cover patients throughout facility

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

· Scrub Color - olive green (moss in FIGS)

· IMobile communication app with Providers and other healthcare team members ---ease in relaying nutrition recommendations for timely implementation

· CNM and senior RD with 10 years of experience each at Del Sol Medical Center

· Order-writing privileges for adding oral supplements, downgrading diets, modifying enteral nutrition orders once MD places initial order

· RD office NOT located in Dietary 😊
