General Information

- 1.00: 13 weeks
- Shift/Workdays: 7a-7:30p / 7p-7:30a
- Weekend: Rotation weekends with 2 weekend day commitments with flexibility to meet the needs of the unit.
- Call Requirements: No
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs.
- Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years
***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
- Telemetry experience
- NIH REQUIRED
- BLS
- ACLS
- 2 YEARS OF HOSP EXPERIENCE
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
- Neuro-Stroke, Seizure, neurological disorders
- Cardiac
- Neuro-surgical
- MEDITECH EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)
- Active TX Rn License-Temp License will NOT be accepted
Procedures performed on unit:
- Peripheral IV start
- Foley, NGT insertions
- Charting with Meditech
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
- Scrub Color
- RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
- Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
- Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
- Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
