Location: Oak Lawn Illinois 60453-2600
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10hr Day Shift (40) Shift Information: Monday - Thursday Clinical Interviewing- Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: Call schedule is made in 8-week increments. It is a modified self-schedule ▪ 1 weekend every 4th weekend, Saturday 0600 – Monday 0600 ▪ Will take a full week of call every 4th week with one weekday off. Call will be for either neuro or body cases. ▪ In addition, non-call weeks, tech will pick up shared "ancillary” call to come in as a 3rd on call team member for strokes or unstable trauma patients. Total ancillary call shifts are approximately 3 in 8-week schedule. ▪ Call team is 1 tech, 1 RN, unless it's stroke/trauma though, then will be 3-man call team with the "ancillary” call tech or RN. ▪ No sleep room. ▪ Response time: 30 minutes for strokes, 45 minutes for traumas. Weekend Rotation: call only, see below Holiday Requirements: 1 holiday of call per contract Floating Requirements: None

General Information:
- Beds: 4 IR rooms
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of IR experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Adults and peds. Only about 10% of the cases are peds. If they re a peds inpatient, the anesthesiologist and the pediatric sedation team will give the sedation. Peds experience not required, will be taught here.
- General IR patients and Neuro IR (required) – kyphos/vertebroplasties, G/GJ tube placement/exchange, neph tubes/nephroureteral stents, IVC filters, temporary and tunneled dialysis catheters, Y90s/TIPs, chemo/coil embolizations, ports, stroke patients
Cases per day: 25-45 cases per day
Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ARRT, IEMA
Skills required:
- Experience with above required cases
- EPIC experience
Support within the Department:
- Charge/Lead
- Management
- Transporter Monday – Friday, will also transport specimens
- Stock person
- Phlebotomy
- RT 24/7
- Hospitalist 24/7
- Radiologists, Rad PA and NP
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC – experience required
- Unit specific equipment: Inari, Penumbra, IVUS, EKOS, Angiojet (no experience required)
Floating: If yes, where: none
Orientation (facility and unit) :
- 1 shift of orientation
- Will take call 2 nd week
