UNIT INFORMATION: CSU (Cardiac Stepdown Unit)

LOCATION: Henrico Doctors' Hospital – Forest
Shift Type: Night Shift
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks

UNIT STAFFING:

Day Shift: 5 RNs, 1 Clinical Coordinator, and 2 PCTs
Night Shift: 5 RNs and 1 PCT

TYPE OF EQUIPMENT / PATIENT CARE DEVICES:

Central lines
PCA pumps
Foley catheters
Chest tubes
Pacer wires
Telemetry
Drains

TYPICAL HIRING PROFILE

MUST HAVE:

Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitors
Ability to administer narcotic medications

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE:

Stepdown experience
Cardiac knowledge

TYPICAL PROCEDURES / CONDITIONS MANAGED

CABG
Valve replacement
TAVR
Mitral clip
Thoracotomy
Atrial fibrillation
CHF
MI
Cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
