• Number of Beds: 43

• Number of Staff: Approximately 70 total

• EMR: Meditech

STAFFING:

Day Shift:

• 1 Charge Nurse

• 1 Unit Secretary

• 9–10 RNs

• 4 CNAs

• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6

Night Shift:

• 1 Charge Nurse

• 9–10 RNs

• 4 CNAs

• Patient Ratio: 1:6

TYPICAL HIRING PROFILE

MUST HAVE:

• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE:

• Meditech experience

TYPICAL PROCEDURES / PATIENT POPULATION:

• Care of patients undergoing various types of surgery

• Excludes cardiac surgery and open neuro surgery

BEST PERSONALITY FIT:

• Willing to jump in and help

• Strong team player

• Comfortable asking questions when unsure of processes

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS  and Registered Nurse License 

FLOATING AREAS:

• Other Medical Units

• ER, to provide Med/Surg hold nurse coverage as needed

SCHEDULING / WEEKENDS / ON-CALL:

• Self-scheduling allowed within reason to maintain a balanced schedule

• Rotating weekends required
