LOCATION: Dallas, TX
Shift Type: Night Shift
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
UNIT NAME: Labor and Delivery
CLASSIFICATION: Women's Hospital
BUILDING/FLOOR: Building D, 9th Floor

GENERAL INFORMATION

SHIFT DETAILS

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Shift/Workdays: 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week

  • Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Weekend Requirements: Rotating

  • Call Requirements: -

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

  • Special Skills/Experience Required: 2 years

  • Other Helpful Experience: High-risk OB experience

UNIT SPECIFICS

  • Number of Beds: 24

  • Estimated Patient Ratios: 2:1; 3:1 in OBED triage

  • Unit Type: High-risk obstetrical unit / Labor and Delivery

  • Equipment: Client fetal monitors

  • Documentation System: Meditech / CPN

  • Scheduling Requirements: 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • Floating Policy: As needed

HIRING PROFILE

MUST HAVE:

  • High-risk obstetrical bedside experience

  • Experience circulating C-sections in the Labor and Delivery area

  • Experience recovering high-acuity patients

  • At least 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience

PREFERRED / ADVANCED SKILLS:

ACLS ,AWHONN ,BLS ,NRP and Registered Nurse License

SPECIALTY / UNIT CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification

PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT

  • Vaginal deliveries

  • C-sections

  • D&C

  • Post-delivery recovery care

PATIENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience
