Facility & Unit Information

HCA FL Largo West Campus is a Psych/Rehab department of HCA FL Largo (Main) and should be treated as a float unit.

Parking: Park in the garage on the 3rd and 4th floors for both AM and PM shifts.

Day Shift Staffing: 6 Respiratory Therapists 1 Supervisor

Required Skills & Qualifications

Candidates must have the following skills and credentials:

• Critical care experience
• Ventilator management skills
• Strong patient assessment skills
• Experience assisting with intubations and Code/Rapid Response situations
• AHA BLS certification
• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) license/certification
• NRP certification
• NBRC credentials
• PALS certification

Candidates without the required skills and credentials will not be considered.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following experience will be considered first:

• Meditech experience
• Strong ventilator experience
• Previous critical-care respiratory therapy experience

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

• Nebulizer treatments
• ABGs from arterial lines and arterial sticks
• Assist with intubations
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response events
• Ventilator management
• Provide respiratory care to critical-care patients
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
