Travel RN – Oncology 

Facility: Medical City Dallas
Location: Dallas, TX
Shift Type:  Night Shift
Shift Time:  Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Address: 7777 Forest Ln
Duration: 13 Weeks 
EMR: Medi tech
Patient Ratio: 1:3–1:4, flexing up to 1:5

Equipment

  • Baxter IV pumps

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • Previous Oncology nursing experience

  • Active RN license

  • BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hematology/Oncology experience

  • Chemotherapy certification

Typical Patient Care

The unit commonly manages:

  • Oncology patients

  • Blood product replacement

  • Electrolyte replacement

  • Complex oncology-related care

Floating

Travel RNs may float to:

  • Hematology/Oncology

  • Bone Marrow Transplant

Unit Guidelines

  • Neutropenic precautions

  • Strict intake and output monitoring

  • CHG bath and linen change every 24 hours

  • Dressing changes every 7 days

  • Lines and caps changed every 96 hours

  • No children under 16 permitted on the unit

Dress Code

  • Royal blue scrubs

Weekends & Call

  • Rotating weekends

  • No on-call requirement
