• 9 Labor, Delivery & Recovery (LDR) rooms

• 8 Postpartum/GYN beds

• 2 OR suites

• 23 wellborn nursery beds

• 50 staff members

Staffing

Day Shift

• Director

• Manager

• Couplet-care nurses

• Birth response nurse

• L&D nurses

• Scrub Technician

Night Shift

• Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse

• Birth response nurse

• Couplet-care nurses

• L&D nurses

• Scrub Technician

Patient Ratios

• Postpartum: 3 couplets per nurse

• L&D: 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural patients

Equipment

• Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment

Hiring Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

• Previous OB experience

• BLS

• ACLS

• NRP

• AWHONN

Preferred Experience

• Cesarean section experience, including:

  • Circulator

  • First assist

  • Scrub

Typical Procedures & Services

• Labor & Delivery

• Cesarean sections

• Postpartum care

• Newborn care

• OB Emergency Department (OBED) triage

• Labor inductions

• Midwife-supported care

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is:

• Energetic

• Strong in OB clinical skills

• Comfortable working collaboratively with the L&D and postpartum team

Floating

• Within the Maternity Care Center only

• No floating to other departments within the facility

Dress Code

• Facility-provided scrubs

Weekends & Call

• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

  • Day shift: Saturday/Sunday

  • Night shift: Friday/Saturday

• No required call for travel staff

• Additional shifts may be available for those interested
