Travel RN – Cardiology / PCU (IMC)
Location: Farmington, NM
Facility: San Juan Regional Medical Center
Department: Cardiology / Intermediate Care (IMC)
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Openings: 1
Trauma Level: III
Call: None
Requirements
- Active NM RN license
- BLS & ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA) – required
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- 2 years of Cardiology or IMC/PCU experience preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
- Strong Cardiac/IMC experience
- Cerner experience preferred
Unit Details
- 24-bed Cardiology/IMC unit
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- Night shift ratios:
- IMC: 1 RN : 4–5 patients
- Med/Surg: 1 RN : 5–6 patients
- Day IMC: 1 RN : 3 patients with active titrating drips
- Cardiac monitoring/Telemetry, T-1s, IV pumps and crash carts
- Common diagnoses: STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke, post-cath, ETOH
Floating
Floating is required. Nurses may float to areas based on unit needs, including:
- PCU
- Medical
- Surgical
- Nephrology
Important
- Weekend requirements vary based on the facility's two-week pay-period schedule.
- Must be comfortable caring for cardiac/IMC patients and titrating drips.
- No call requirement.
