Number of Beds -8 labor, 8 antepartum, 4 triage, 2 ORSs (Mother baby unit has 27 beds, Level III NICU with 24 beds)
Number of Staff – 70 employees in L&D
Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6 RNs
o Night Shift - 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6 RNs
Patient Ratios – labor1:2, antepartum 1:3
Type of equipment – standard L&D equipment, including NOVII wireless monitors, centricity central fetal strip surveillance throughout the unit
EMR – CPN, meditech for order entry and labs
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Circulator for c-sections
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
