Location: Oneida, NY
Assignment: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging equipment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently in both Nuclear Medicine and PET modalities while following all radiation safety and NYS regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET scans according to established protocols.
• Prepare, calculate, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine/PET imaging equipment and process exam results.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain exposure ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
• Receive, store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with NYS regulations.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate documentation, dosage records, and inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists and the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT(N) or CNMT certification, or board eligible.
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Nuclear Medicine and PET experience required.
• Must be able to work independently in both modalities.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and NYS compliance/regulations.
