Travel Labor and Delivery RN
13 weeks
Lake Charles , LA
SHIFT: NIGHTS- 7:00PM-7:00AM
START DATE/ASAP

Types of patients/cases on the unit: deliveries, circulating c-sections, antepartum patients, attending to newborns in the initial newborn assessment.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

BLS required
RN License in state of employment or compact
Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) (certification received 1 month after passing test date***)
Current NRP certification required
Current ACLS certification required

Weekend Requirement YesOn Call Requirement No callFloating Requirement / Locations No floatingNurse / Patient Ratio AWHONN standards:

1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation

1:2 cervical ripening (Cytotec or low dose Pitocin)

1:2-3 Antepartum (depending on acuity)

1:2-3 Triage

1:1- Immediate postpartum (2 hours postbirth) (mother & baby)

Dress Code

Navy blue or pink scrubs
