Description

Location: Concord North Carolina 28025

Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36Shift Information: 1900-0700

About Facility:

Licensed for 457 beds
Level 3 Trauma
Stroke center of Excellence
Bariatric center of Excellence
Chest Pain Center
Maternal Fetal Medicine Referral Center
Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms
Average census of 9-10 patients daily

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years LDRP
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

High Risk Antepartum, Labor, Immediate Postpartum
Active Labor, Triage, Pre-Eclampsia and other Hypertension disorders of pregnancy, other common pregnancy/delivery conditions and complications
60-65 deliveries/month

Patient Ratios:

RN: Laboring: 1:1-2

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

RN: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM (Requirements of Resource Team)

Skills required:

Labor management, circulate cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management

Support within the Department:

Secretary M-F 8-5
Scrub Tech to assist in procedures
OB Mentor
Charge nurse, 24/7
Phlebotomy - In hospital
IV/VAT Team - In hospital
RT 24/7
Hospitalist 24/7
Intensivist 24/7
OB Physicians
Anesthesia/CRNA team
Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station

Technology/Equipment:

EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Client
Unit specific equipment: Monica Novii, Neptune

Floating:

Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

Orientation (facility and unit):

NEO
2 days departmental

Scheduling:

Weekend rotation: every other
No call required for travelers
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 0645-1930; 1845-0730
Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks
