Title: Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location: High Point North Carolina 27262

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12hr Day Shift - 36Shift Information: 0700-1900
Clinical Interviewing- NoOn Call, Call Back Requirements: NoneWeekend Rotation: every other (currently operates Mon-Fri; occasional Saturday need)Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidaysFloating Requirements: Minimal floating required, however could float to medical surgical unit, if needed

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

Total Hip and Total Knee replacement
Bariatric surgery
Urology surgical patients
Spine Surgery
GYN Procedures

Patient Ratios:

RN: 1:6
CNA: 1:9

Required Licensure & Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Resource Team requirement

Skills required:

Experience with surgical patients
Support within the Department:
CNA: Yes at times
Charge nurse
Phlebotomy
IV/VAT Team - No
Resource Nurse, if needed
RT 24/7
Hospitalist 24/7, if needed
Intensivist 24/7, if needed
Telemetry monitoring/tech - yes
Rapid response RN, if needed

IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips
Unit specific equipment: NA
