Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Sahuarita, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Patient ratio is approximately 4:1.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
• EMR systems used: Cerner / Firstnet.
• Scrub color required: Black.
• Blocked schedule option available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Additional Information

• Start date: ASAP, preferably within 2 weeks of acceptance.
• No option for 48-hour guarantee.
