• Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Hours per week: 36
• Patient ratio: 1:8-10
• Unit beds: 19
• No call required
• No floating required
• Scrub color: Any solid color
• EMR system: MedHost
• Blocked scheduling may be requested
• 48-hour weekly guarantees are not approved

Job Description

• Provide behavioral health evaluation of assigned patients
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist nursing peers as requested
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within RN scope of practice
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Work in a Senior Behavioral Health unit within an acute care hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• De-escalation training (SAMA or CPI)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with geriatric patients
• Experience in an acute care setting
