Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Mid shifts, approximately 12:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Unit Beds: 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds
EMR System: Cerner
Scrub Color: Navy
Call/Floating: No call required; no floating required

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve effective patient care and desired outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of 2 or more prior travel nursing assignments
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 training

Additional Information

• 48-hour weekly guarantees are not available.
• Scheduling attempts to block days off and meet weekend requirements but cannot guarantee.
• No maximum return-to-office blackout dates as long as full-time equivalent and weekend requirements are met.
• No floating to other units required.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with prior travel assignments who are comfortable working mid shifts in a fast-paced environment.
