Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide triage, critical thinking, and assessment skills in the Emergency Department.
• Perform nursing duties including IV/IO insertion, chest tube management, catheterization, and management of critical care drips.
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and critical care assessment skills.
• Patient ratio approximately 4:1 (variable).
• Unit size: 16 beds.
• Electronic Medical Records systems used: FirstNet and Cerner.
• Scrub color: Royal Blue.
• No call, no floating, no 48-hour shifts.
• Request time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract; blackout period on Labor Day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Competency in critical care assessment and management
• Cardiac monitoring competency
• Comfortability with critical care drips
