Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

Location: La Porte, Indiana

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a fast-paced Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with 30 beds.
• Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
• Patient ratio: 4 or 5 patients per nurse.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating required: may need to float to Medical/Surgical units.
• Block scheduling is not an option.
• Scrub color: Navy blue.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner experience preferred but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Two-week cancellation notice with no penalty.
• Holidays may be blacked out depending on need.
• Maximum amount of required time off (RTO) is zero.
• Orientation dates depend on years of experience.
• Work schedule is approximately 36 hours per week.
