Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Kirksville, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), weekends required
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing Bed) patients.
May absorb med-surg patients if swing bed volume decreases.
Patients require less nurse-intensive care than traditional med-surg patients but no difference in skill requirements.
Floating primarily to med-surg for patient assignments; may float to other units for tasks within existing competencies.
Call required, but no standing call; call shifts limited to no more than 48 hours of call-off time per contract.
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 10 swing patients.
Scrub color: Any solid color.
Electronic Medical Record system: MedHost.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

No week on/week off scheduling.
Blocked scheduling requests and 48-hour weekly guarantees may be accommodated if included in the application.
