Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) - Travel Assignment

Location: Key West, Florida
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per week: 36

Job Summary

Provide nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care in Labor and Delivery. Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegate and supervise patient care priorities based on staff education and experience. May be required to float to other units as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) and Nursery units
At least 2 prior travel nursing assignments
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications

Additional Information

Blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated.
Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to assignment acceptance, with address provided.
Flexibility to float to other units as facility needs arise.

Facility requires accountability for safe, evidence-based obstetrical nursing care.
Collaborative environment with supervision and delegation responsibilities.
