Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, every other week (EOW)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases in Labor & Delivery.
• Circulate for vaginal deliveries; circulating for cesarean sections preferred.
• Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation and recover vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Care for antepartum patients requiring L&D care.
• Monitor and assist laboring patients, communicate with providers, and triage patients 20 weeks gestation and up.
• Float between departments within the Women's Pavilion as needed.
• Patient ratio typically 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity.
• Unit size: 13 beds.
• Use CPN (GE) and Cerner electronic medical records.
• Maintain shift accountability and leadership, delegate patient care priorities, and supervise assigned personnel.
• Must be able to pass an EKG.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 2 completed travel assignments in Labor and Delivery
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Additional Information

• Call requirement: 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 6 weeks, including one weekend shift.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend shift call is met.
• Scrub color: navy blue.
• 48-hour guaranteed hours are not approved.
• Prior experience with CPN and Cerner EMRs preferred.
