Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Location: Oro Valley, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

  • Provide care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
  • Required to float between departments and sister facilities, including Marana ED and other nearby medical centers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience.
  • Must hold an active Arizona RN license.
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Must be willing to float between departments and facilities.
  • Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.
  • NIH certification preferred.

Shift Details

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours guaranteed per week
  • Rotating weekends

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks
