Job Description
- Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care in Labor and Delivery.
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Flexible to float to other units as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby units.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
- AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite).
- Must have a Florida AHCA license for placement.
Additional Notes
- Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to acceptance.
