Description

Travel NICU RN Opportunity - Tucson, Arizona

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)


Requirements

  • Arizona RN License
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience (Level 3 experience required)
  • Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
  • Preferred: STABLE certification
  • Ventilator experience
  • Prefer some experience in Postpartum (PP) care for flexibility in assignments

Responsibilities

  • Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries
  • Admit NICU patients
  • Start IVs and draw labs
  • Provide care for NICU patients with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
  • May assist with newborn or couplet care during low census in NICU

Additional Information

  • Unit size: 15 beds
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
  • The role requires critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and delegation skills in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies.
