Description

Travel NICU RN Opportunity - Tucson, Arizona

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Requirements

Arizona RN License
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Minimum 3 years of NICU experience (Level 3 experience required)
Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
Preferred: STABLE certification
Ventilator experience
Prefer some experience in Postpartum (PP) care for flexibility in assignments

Responsibilities

Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries
Admit NICU patients
Start IVs and draw labs
Provide care for NICU patients with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
May assist with newborn or couplet care during low census in NICU

Additional Information

Unit size: 15 beds
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
The role requires critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and delegation skills in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies.

Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.
