Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Travel)
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
- Work in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) assisting surgeons by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth flow of procedures.
- Assist and pass in cases, help turn over OR rooms to keep surgical cases flowing.
- May float to main OR if needed.
- Block scheduling accommodations will be attempted.
Schedule
- Shift: 4 days of 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- On call as needed
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required, must be from NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required with strong cardiac surgery skills.
- Thoracic da Vinci experience preferred.
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
- Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted).
